3 Weeks To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have not been faithful in keeping up with our blogging, but it has been a boring pregnancy!! This, I'm told, and agree to, is a good thing as everything so far has gone very smoothly. I have 3 weeks until my due date and am just now beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable. I consider myself very blessed to have had such a "boring" pregnancy. Hopefully I can stay well rested for the next stage when baby Baker decides to make her appearance. I know that both Mike and I will be taking lots and lots of pictures and I'm sure I'll have great stories to share so once again I'm saying that we will try our hardest to get on here more regularly! The baby's room is almost ready, clothes and blankets are being washed, and we are working on getting Tux ready for the big arrival. He knows that something is going on and has been a lot more clingy lately. We do have a cabbage patch doll that we put in the car seat for our trip home for Christmas and he didn't bother him too much. I know it will be different with a live baby, but I think that it's helping. Let us know if you have any other tricks for getting him ready for the baby and we'll try them.

Ultrasound Pictures

Ok, our ultrasound was three weeks ago, and we failed to post any of the pictures from it yet. Sorry! Here's a couple of the good pictures of our little girl, one of her little feet and one of her sucking her thumb. Isn't she cute?!?! Cori is doing well and has been feeling the baby kick for the past couple weeks. Her belly's also beginning to "pop" as you can see in the pictures from the beach. It's all becoming much more real. Our little girl will be here before we know it!

Pictures!

Here's some pictures from Jody's visit to our house and from our trip to visit Jill and Ryan in Michigan.

WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!!!!!!!

We had our ultrasound on Monday and everything looks great. We found out that both Mike and I and 50% of the people who voted were right. It's going to be a girl!! She was very active during the ultrasound and we got to watch her doing somersaults and flips!!! I can't feel her yet, but when I do, I have a feeling she may keep me up at night with all her wiggling! It was so fun to see all of her bones and fingers and toes and yes we did try to count them and they were all there! She weighs 10 ounces and is growing by the day! The only problem with the ultrasound was that it was too short. I could watch her forever! We'll try to keep you posted and may post some pictures as my belly is starting to expand. I even broke down and wore a pair of maternity jeans today! Very comfy. Now we're off to go dream of dolls and pink things!

Introducing...

It may not look like much now, but this is the first picture of our newest family member!!! That's right, Cori's pregnant! Our baby is due January 18th. So far things are going well with the pregnancy, we were able to hear the baby's heart beating at our latest doctor appointment! Right now baby weighs 5 ounces. We'll do a better job of keeping this updated now that we have such exciting news!

We're Alive!!!!!!!

Yes, we are still both surviving the cold up here in Minnesota. We have been a little lax at posting anything but you know how busy life can get and we kept putting things off. I think that we promised to do better a few months ago, so I won't promise anything, but I will try to keep the updates coming a bit more often. We are both doing well. Mike is making his way through his first year rotations and eagerly awaiting July when he begins the anesthesia program. I am getting busier working as a personal trainer at the Rochester Athletic Club. Tux, our new puppy, is adjusting to life in the Baker house. Being a dog is such a hard life. Eat, sleep, play, poop! If only we could all live like that! Right on cue, Tux just fell asleep next to me on the couch. He is still recovering from his "surgery". Yes that one! He gets his stitches out tomorrow which I'm sure he will appreciate, although it didn't slow him down any.
We are all excited for our upcoming vacation. We are going to the Caribbean! I cannot wait to bask in the warmth of the sun, especially after just shoveling snow off the driveway AGAIN!!!!!!! Caribbean, here we come! We'll be sure to post our tan pictures. They will be much better than our pasty white pictures!
Speaking of pictures, here are a few pictures that have accumulated over the last few months for you to enjoy!

Bringing Home Tux!

So we brought our new dog, Tux home yesterday! He's been a handful but lots of fun. He does a lot of eating, sleeping, pooping, and peeing. Imagine that! He's starting to figure out the whole house training thing, but it'll probably take a little longer before we can put the stain remover away. There's also some pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch and of the Jack-o-lanterns that we carved on the slide show.

Baker Update

Sorry everyone! I guess it's been over a month since we've posted anything. We have been busy getting settled into Rochester. As you have seen, we have had a chance to go on one vacation which was awesome. Out big news of the month is that we are getting a new addition to our family!!!!!!!!! No we are not pregnant. But we are getting a puppy!!!! We are naming him Tux since he is black with a white neck and chest. He is a lab mix and was left abandoned in a farmer's field on Halloween. We won't pick him up for another 10 days, but we are both very excited. We are now busy cleaning and puppy proofing the house. I am a little nervous never having had a dog, but I figure a puppy will be good practice for when we have a baby!!! I will be sure to post a picture when we bring him home. Maybe having him will make us blog more often since I'm sure we will have some stories to tell living with a 3 month old puppy. Wish us luck!
